Governor’s Task Force on the Delaware Psychiatric Center Announces Next Subcommittee Meetings
Dover – The Governor’s Task Force on the Delaware Psychiatric Center (DPC) has scheduled a series of subcommittee meetings, as it continues its work to review practices and recommend improvements at the DPC.
Subcommittees 3 and 4 will meet together on Monday, Oct. 29 from 8 a.m – noon in training rooms 1 & 2 in the Springer Building of the Herman M. Holloway, Sr. Health and Social Services campus on Rt. 13 in New Castle. These groups will hear presentations regarding options for community placement of DPC patients and research completed to date on the cost and need for a new DPC facility.
Subcommittee 2 will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. in Rm. 301 of the Main Administration Building of the Herman M. Holloway, Sr. Health and Social Services campus. This group will hear presentations and discuss information related to overtime, staff vacancies, job reclassification, a review of the process to report patient abuse or neglect, and a review of the staff training curriculum.

The Task Force on the Delaware Psychiatric Center was created by Governor Minner in August to make recommendations for suggested improvements at the facility. The Task Force recommendations are due in a report to the Governor no later than December 15, 2007. |
